I will include a content warning here for those who might need it. Season seven suffers from incredibly uneven writing, and “Sub Rosa,” while not the worst of the episodes, certainly belongs at the bottom of the list. “ Sub Rosa” is one of TNG’s most infamously terrible offerings, and this episode earns every bit of hate that has ever been directed its way and then some.
